This is really interesting, thanks so much for taking the time to write it down and sharing it with us! I think hearing personal memories is such a great complement to general history because sometimes it's hard to imagine how daily life was different from now, and in what ways it was the same.
I can imagine your mother would be a bit baffled by a sudden influx of questions about her childhood! If you're still taking questions, I'd love to know about what she and her family were wearing, how much of it they made themselves, and how they wore their hair. I'd expect it would be a bit different from people living in cities but I don't know how much!
