What a wonderful name! They sound really good. I'm now imagining how they'd taste made with puff or filo pastry. Hmm.
Until quite recently, I'd throw demerara sugar onto any leftover pastry and cook that along with the pie. It was really good if there was a little whipped cream to scrape onto it.
